In Game Inflation
In game inflation is on the rise and too many items are becoming overfarmed. I think Anet should implify some new goldsinks. Like a new set of elite armor or another elite mission which has new GREEN drops in it. Greens are becoming worthless next to many gold items. Just my take on things.

So we implement new skins that are 100k + for a few days, and then become overfarmed, become worthless, and then depreciate the value of other greens and gold skins even further?
/Not Signed.
(Implify is not a word.)

Economy it's just fine. The aveage income without trading with other players is 2,000gold/hour in level 24..28 enemy areas.
New goldsinks would be always good, but there is not as much inflation as before GW:EN.
Remember also that different regions have different 'play ways', something that German would pay a lot for, Spanish people may don't care at all about it.

Only thing they can do is add more traders to GH or maybe a highly desired "pay once a month" NPC that'll keep being a decent gold sink for people that want it. Adding new areas with new greens is not going to be a gold sink, and they probably won't add entire armor sets anytime soon. Your idea of a gold sink is there, but your examples of implementation are horrible.

Or make the process of farming these Greens harder.
Kanaxi's equipment used to be 100k +, but over the time period of about a year the sword, axe, and hammer have reduced in value by about 90k. This can be expected with any sought-after-item, though.
Destroyer weapons are still valuable, since they can be applied in the Hall of Monuments.
Yes, inflation happens (even in the real world) but I don't think its anything to worry about currently.

The problem with greens is that they do usually not have unique skins and can't be modded.
Gold items are always better because of that. The most rare items are all gold. And inscribable gold items are the most versatile of all.
If you think about green items as the 'most rare', you will be wrong, sine they 'more rare' items are the.... well... the rare items.

Simple supply and demand. Over time the supply increases as more people learn to farm it. But the main effect is that over time people who want one get one, then stop wanting it, reducing demand.

Actually I'd say that their value comes from how expensive it is to craft one. My guess is that the value they trade for will be close to how much it costs to craft one (including buying the material for it) because an unlimited amount can be supplied at that price. When the price of the raw materials changes, the price of the weapons will also change.

By the way, all this talk of Inflation, has me wondering, does anyone know what it really means?
Inflation is when the value of currency depreciates. What everyone is talking about is the value of items is depreciating. No more gold enters the economy than there was when Nightfall was first released (at least, as far as I know). Whatever gold you are picking up, was spent at a Merchant or Armor Vendor, or some other NPC by another player. So, it isn't inflation you are worrying about. It is the value of the items.
In the current state of the game, Gold is buying you more and more, while items are selling for less and less. Gold is actually becoming more valuable than whatever you are spending it on.

If Greens had unique skins and you could change the mods on them with ones you have, they would be worth something.
But as far as your "moneysink" idea goes, it's not worth it.

1 - Goldsinks like armor crafters lose their effectiveness once people stop buying the armor from them because they already have it. But the rate at which they are earning gold doesn't always go down.
2 - GW:EN rewards me with a lot more gold than the other campaigns do.

there are enough gold sinks and it is pain enough getting all the pretty loot as is. it is already discouraging to some players at how much work is put in on getting a single set of 15k armor or one rare skin item.
making the game even harder to get what you need could push those same players right outa the game and into something a bit easier to get what you want.
Implify FTW!

Yup, that is how it should be, but it's not.
The same goes for bonus items, and they do have unique skins.
If weapon and off-hand upgrade traders were added, that could be made.
Or at least they could make green and bonus items upgrades replaceable.

1. I doubt every player that wants an armor set has that armor set. I know I want 6 Obsidian Armor sets for my PvE characters, but I currently have 0. So, obviously, not "everyone" has every armor they want.
2. Maybe GWEN has a higher drop rate than other campaigns? I've noticed there's not as many ways to farm it, as other campaigns (i.e. Cave Troll in Droks, Ex-Vermin Farming, Colossal Scimitar Farm, to name a few).
